This piece feels like standing at the edge of a quiet pond, watching the flowers drift. The idea of the lotus pond has been with me for a while, and I wanted to hold onto that slow, still feeling. The dark water sets the stage for the bright pink lotuses and the scattered green lily pads, creating a contrast that feels both calm and alive.
The way the light hits the water in the piece gives it a depth that feels real. It is not just a picture of flowers, but a moment of the day where everything is quiet. I hope the viewer feels that same pause, that sense of looking at something beautiful without needing to touch it. The colors pop against the deep background, making the scene feel fresh and immediate.
