On a San Diego evening the sun drops low and the colors get heavy and warm. I used a cluster of stones to stand in for the sun itself, letting them anchor the sky before the day ends.
The colors shift from a deep violet at the top down into soft pinks and a thick band of gold near the water. The surface below is textured, catching the light and making the whole scene feel like it is moving. It is a quiet moment, but one that stays with you.
