The colors are bright and the air feels full of promise, like a festive morning. The two parrots sit facing each other, their green feathers standing out against the deep red background, creating a sense of balance and quiet conversation. The traditional style of Tanjore art draws me in, and I hope it does the same for you, bringing a touch of heritage into the room.
The piece is alive with detail, from the intricate patterns on the birds' wings to the central flower that anchors the composition. I used glass beads and mirrors to add texture and light, so the piece catches the eye and changes as the light moves across it. It is a celebration of color and craft, meant to be looked at and enjoyed.
